How to make the most of a crypto conference week

The main conference is obviously the main event. But during a crypto conference week like London Web3 Week, the city turns into hackathons, networking dinners, run clubs, rooftop drinks and late-night side events. It's when the global crypto crowd converges.

Here's how to make it count.

London Web3 Week side events

1. Networking IRL > DMs

You'll meet founders, VCs and builders from every chain in a single week. A five-minute conversation over coffee will do more than a month of cold outreach.

2. Plan your side events early

The good ones fill up fast. Subscribe to the event week's Luma page and register for the handful that genuinely fit your goals, rather than everything.

3. Mix the formats

  • Daytime: panels and workshops to learn and level up.
  • Early mornings: run clubs and coffee meetups, where the most focused people show up.
  • Evenings: dinners and drinks, where the real conversations happen.

4. Host something small

If you're a brand, you don't need a huge budget. A curated dinner or co-working morning for 20 of the right people can outperform a big sponsorship.

5. Follow up before the week ends

Everyone goes home with 100 new contacts. Be the one who follows up while the week is still going.

Whether you're building, investing or just exploring what's next, conference weeks are the moment to connect. Pace yourself. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
